Dr. Megan Hatch is a strategic academic leader in Physician Assistant education with expertise in curriculum design, programmatic assessment, and accreditation. She serves as Assistant Program Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Teaching Professor at Mississippi State University Physician Assistant Program, where she leads curricular development and instruction across both the didactic and clinical phases. She also directs multiple core clinical rotations and seminar courses, incorporating simulation, case-based learning, and competency-based instructional strategies.

Her academic work is focused on the development and implementation of comprehensive assessment systems aligned with Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) standards. She has led initiatives in longitudinal competency mapping, performance-based assessment, and the integration of structured clinical skills throughout the curriculum. These efforts support continuous quality improvement processes that connect student outcomes data to curricular refinement and programmatic decision-making, contributing to sustained improvements in student performance, including PANCE outcomes.

She has played a key role in accreditation and program development, co-leading ARC-PA self-study and reporting processes that resulted in continued accreditation. Her contributions include expanding and strengthening clinical education infrastructure, enhancing compliance systems, and implementing a sustainable preceptor model to support clinical site recruitment and retention. She is actively engaged in faculty development, institutional service, and committee leadership, with a focus on advancing academic quality and program effectiveness.

In addition to her academic responsibilities, she maintains clinical practice as an inpatient pharmacist at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center. She brings over a decade of experience in critical care and acute care pharmacy, which informs her teaching and supports the integration of clinical practice into health professions education. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy and maintains board certification in pharmacotherapy. Collectively, her work reflects a sustained commitment to excellence in health professions education, clinical practice, and outcomes-driven program development.
