Dr. Michelle Boucher-Snodgrass serves as an Associate Clinical Professor and Field Experience Coordinator in the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program in Combined Health Service Psychology within the School of Health Professions at Mississippi State University–Meridian. In this role, she supports the development of the program’s clinical training infrastructure, oversees the coordination and supervision of practicum placements, and teaches core courses that blend evidence‑based practice, applied case analysis, and culturally responsive approaches. Prior to her appointment at MSU-Meridian, she taught at the undergraduate and graduate level, offering courses that include personality assessment, behavioral assessment, abnormal psychology, child psychopathology, counseling skills, and multicultural counseling.
Clinically, Dr. Boucher specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, with expertise in trauma, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, chronic stress, anxiety, and grief. She is licensed as a psychologist in Mississippi and has more than twenty years of experience across community mental health, inpatient and residential treatment facilities, medical settings, school systems, and private practice. She currently provides therapy, psychological evaluations, consultation, and community education within her private practice clinic.
Her academic presentations have covered topics such as social anxiety in adolescence, pediatric psychology career development, sustained attention in ADHD, ecological validity of attention measures, reinforcement preferences, and personality assessment and occurred at major professional organizations such as the American Psychological Association, the Society for Personality Assessment, and the Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy.
In addition to academic conferences, Dr. Boucher has been invited to deliver presentations and workshops across diverse professional and community settings. She has provided formal training as well as basic psychoeducation for school districts, community mental health centers, hospitals, colleges, churches, parent groups, and child advocacy organizations. Her invited topics include childhood trauma, domestic violence, self-injury, stress management, behavior management, resilience building, mindfulness in parenting, classroom supports, neurodevelopmental concerns in childhood, and eating disorders.
Dr. Boucher is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Mississippi Psychological Association and has previously served as a volunteer in the Mississippi Psychological Association’s Disaster Response Network. She is dedicated to preparing future psychologists with strong clinical competencies, ethical foundations, and a deep commitment to culturally responsive care.
