Dr. Devdutt Upadhye serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Healthcare Administration at Mississippi State University – Meridian. He joined the department upon the completion of his PhD in Health Services Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also holds a MBA and a MD from his native India.

As a researcher, Dr. Upadhye’s primary interests lie in the fields of leadership in healthcare and healthcare finance. He has published scholarly articles in leading healthcare administration journals aimed at holistically evaluating the performance and policies of healthcare administration, with a focus on enhancing the sustainability of health systems.

At Mississippi State University Dr. Upadhye has taught courses in healthcare finance, healthcare ethics, logistics and supply chain management for healthcare organizations, and the management of healthcare organizations. He is a certified CIRTL (Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning) Practitioner and his pedagogy is aimed at fostering peer-learning and student-centered classrooms.

Dr. Upadhye is also engaged in service at both the School and University level. He currently serves on the Mississippi State University Graduate Council and is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee for the School of Health Professions.
